The Software

The GUM Tree Calculator

If you need to calculate measurement uncertainty then GTC may be the tool for you.

The calculator has been developed by scientists at the Measurement Standards Laboratory of New Zealand, who look after New Zealand's measurement system and are experts at working out the uncertainty of measurements.

GTC is free - you can get a copy here. The GTC documentation is also available online.

GUM is an abbreviation for the Guide to the Expression of Uncertainty in Measurement (an online version is available). GTC implements GUM recommendations.

GTC is a self-contained application running on Windows. It includes a library of classes and functions written in Python.
